Follow-up to the Indonesian-Swiss country-led initiative (CLI) on how to improve the effectiveness of the Convention Possible adoption of a framework for the environmentally sound management of hazardous wastes and other wastes Possible adoption of a glossary of terms used in the Convention Consider technical guidelines on: Transboundary movements of e-waste, in particular the distinction between waste and non-waste Environmentally sound management of POPs and potential follow-up activities Major issues - BC COP-11

Possible adoption of amendments to Annex IX of the Convention Consideration of outcomes of the 9 th meeting of the Committee for Administering the Mechanism for Promoting Implementation and Compliance Consideration of the Partnership Programme and possible revisions to guidance on environmentally sound management of used and end-of-life computing equipment (excluding TBM) (PACE) Review of technical assistance programme, including regional and coordinating centres Major issues - BC COP-11

Possible addition of five chemicals and one severely hazardous pesticide formulation, including chrysotile asbestos Consider further and possibly adopt a non-compliance mechanism pursuant to Article 17 Consider proposals to improve information exchange on exports and export notifications Review of proposals to increase the number of notifications of final regulatory action and guidance to assist Parties in their preparation Review of technical assistance programme Major issues - RC COP-6

Possible addition of HBCD to Annex A to the Convention with specific exemptions Consider further and possibly adopt a non-compliance mechanism pursuant to Article 17 Consider and possibly adopt a revised framework for evaluating the effectiveness of the Convention pursuant to Article 16 Evaluate the continued need for DDT for disease vector control Possibly adopt processes for evaluating the continued need of specific exemptions and acceptable purposes for BDEs and PFOS Review of recommendations and conclusions from POPRC on alternatives to DDT, endosulfan and PFOS in open applications Major issues - SC COP-6

SC regional centres: possibly adopt an evaluation methodology, re-endorse regional centres endorsed at COP-4 and endorse a new nominated centre Financial mechanism and resources: review of assessment of the funding needs for , third review of the financial mechanism and guidance to the financial mechanism National Implementations Plans: take note of NIPs update guidance, feasibility study and deadlines for transmitting revised NIPs Consider and possibly adopt a revised reporting format pursuant to Article 15 Review of technical assistance programme 7 Major issues - SC COP-6

Review of the impact of the arrangements put in place pursuant to the synergies decisions; Full proposal for the modification of the organization of the Secretariat, including the possible continuation of the joint head function, that was cost ‑ neutral in respect of the adopted operating budgets of the three conventions; Sustainability of the Secretariat and continuity of its operations, including planning for the selection of the next Executive Secretary; Major issues – ExCOPs-2
