DOJ’s Organization Although Headquartered in Washington, DC, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has offices across the United States DOJ’s Mission/Priorities: to sustain national security; to investigate and prosecute financial and mortgage fraud; to uphold traditional law enforcement, immigration and litigation-related missions; federal prisons and detention; to assist state, local, and tribal law enforcement;

DOJ’s Major Procuring Components Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) The U. S. Marshals Service (USMS) The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Federal Prison Industries (FPI)/UNICOR The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) The Justice Management Division (JMD)

DOJ - OSDBU Functions Review planned procurements to make sure small businesses have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in DOJ prime and subcontracts.

OSDBU Functions ( Cont. ) Negotiate DOJ’s small business goals with SBA. Develop and implement small business outreach programs. Assist small businesses with doing business with DOJ. Provide technical assistance and training to DOJ contracts and program staffs.

OSDBU Functions (Cont.) Review and evaluate the performance of organizational units in meeting small business goals and report to the Deputy Attorney General. Monitor accomplishments and implement corrective actions when goals are not met. Consult regularly with SBA on matters pertaining to small business procurement and DOJ’s Small Business Program.
