All About Me!!!  Hello All, I want to start by telling you a bit about myself, I am a 35 year old wife, mother, and grandmother. I have two boys ages 20 and 12, and one girl age 14. I have been married for 14 years. I was blessed with a grandson whom is 11 months old. We currently reside in Winder Georgia. I am originally from Virginia, but have been here in Georgia for 14 years. I love meeting new people, and I especially love children, I am a sociable person and absolutely love learning.

Profession!! I am currently a Lead Head Start Teacher in Winder Georgia. I work for a major non profit company called Easter Seals of North Georgia, and we have centers all over the Metro Atlanta area. I enjoy working for Easter Seals because they have an awesome purpose, we aim to serve low income families, and children with disabilities. I started out with the company as a substitute teacher after completing my internship. I was then offered a position as a Assistant teacher in Early Head Start in which I worked for two years, then I moved up to Assistant Head Start Teacher for a year, now I am blessed to say that I am a Lead Head Start Teacher. Through out my four years of being in a classroom setting I have worked with all kinds of children, with and without disabilities and I have loved each and everyone of them, and I have definitely learned something new from all of them.

How will My Masters Help with my Future??  It is within my hopes that by the end of the Masters Program I will have knowledge of a broader field of learning, and I will also be able to conduct appropriate assessments for my students as well as myself. I wish to learn many more positive ways to incorporate technology into my classroom, and more exciting relevant ways to make the company better as a whole.

How Did I Get Here?  I worked in a furniture warehouse for ten years as a supervisor, managing adults that acted like children. I have always loved children so I figured why do a job that I hate so much when I can earn a living by doing something that I love. I gained my Diploma in 2010 at Lanier Tech which made me feel like it was not enough, One of my instructors always told me that you can never gain enough or too much knowledge. I just recently gained my Bachelor Degree in 2013, and am now working to obtain my Masters, I intend to be that teacher that makes a difference and is remembered for my unique teaching techniques.

My Impression  During the course EDU 671 it seemed a bit complicated at first, I did however choose an issue that was truly going on at the moment so it was easy for me to obtain the necessary information from all individuals involved. I have never been the type individual that was good at a bunch of research, but when I started with the proposal I worked on, it became easier for me because I was a lot more curious about the topic.
