MRTDA Address Overview The Master Reference Table (MRT) Data Administration (DA) is an Farm Service Agency (FSA) application that provides a means for FSA Data Stewards (DS) to update FSA information. There are a few categories of data maintained within this application from rates business partners. For the purposes of this presentation the FSA mailing address is covered. – The application as deployed is also known as the MRT Web Interface or (MRTWI) With the shut down of the AS/400 and the System 36 environment, the FSA has migrated the mailing address update capability to the MRTDA application. This presentation provides a brief overview of the FSA Mailing Address levels of access, roles, and how to use the application. Finally links to the technical documentation for more detailed technical documentation. 1

Mailing Address Levels of access FSA Offices are logically defined in the following breakdown – National Offices: Large offices such as DC and other national offices that are not State or County Logical offices as defined for financial operations set up similar to State and County offices known as States 80 and 90. These are also known as Debt offices. National office employees without specific role access may access View Address only – State Offices Some states define districts which are a logical collection of County Offices as defined and assigned by the State to district employees. The application does not define any district but does allow access for district employees. – County Offices 2

Mailing Address role No specific roles are required to access the MRTDA application for any user for the purposes of maintaining FSA state and county mailing addresses by State and County users. All employees are granted access according to the type of employee they are according to ICAMS. The application also uses the EAS offices assignments as provided by their SLR or Supervisor – National employees may update the address associated with their EAS office assignments Two users have nationwide access and will support all address needs Finance offices have pre-defined users set up at the time of the address rollout – State Employees may update any address within their state as defined in EAS. If multiple states are assigned within EAS, the user may update any mailing address within the states assigned – District Employees may update any mailing address as assigned in the EAS office list – County Employees may update any mailing address as assigned in the EAS office list 3

MRTDA/MRTWI Mailing Address operations (View Address) After clicking View Address, the application will display – (1) Select a State (Provides the states that apply to your access, choose a state) – (2) Office (Per selected state, this provides the Service Center Offices available for the selected state) – Once a State and Office are selected the following are populated with current values in the MRT. Office Name Mailing Address Line: City Name: State Abbreviation: Zip Code: – (3) When done viewing click Done or Cancel button to exit the modify screen. 5

MRTDA/MRTWI Mailing Address operations (Modify Address) After clicking Modify Address, the application will display – (1) State (Provides the states that apply to your access, choose a state) – (2) Office (Per selected state, this provides the Service Center Offices available for the selected state) – (3) Once a State and Office are selected the following are populated with current values in the MRT. Update any of these fields to correct a mailing address. FSA Office Name Mailing Address Line: City Name: State Abbreviation: Zip Code: – (4) Once corrections are entered, click the Change button and the update is completed. Or – (4) If no change is required, click the Cancel button to exit the modify screen. 6 Modify Screen

Summary FSA Mailing Address updates are migrated from the AS/400 S/36 platform to a web application called MRTDA. The application provides National, State, District, County, and Finance Offices access based on the users ICAMS information as logged in via eAuth. Users access to an office is based on their EAS offices assignments list. Users may view and modify offices based on their being classified as: – National (View) – State, District, or County (Update Address) – National with finance roles (View Address and Update Finance Address) – National Data Steward (View Address, Update Address, and Update Finance Address) 7
