For 17 years, the average size of the PAYG pensions in Kazakhstan increased by 9.4 times. The expenses for pension payments over the period increased by almost 9.3 times - from 99.1 billion tenge in 1999 to billion tenge in Over the past 8 years, the expenses of the State Social Insurance Fund for social payments for childcare until the age of one year increased by 4.6 times. Number of population with incomes below the subsistence minimum decreased by 12.5 times in 2013 compared with 1998 During the years of Independence of Kazakhstan the number of poor people with incomes below the poverty line (the number of subsistence allowance recipients at year is 38.2 thousand people) reduced by more than 20 times

UNDP’s technical assistance and practical interventions: The National Action for Guidelines for certification of infrastructure Standards for special social services Standard for working place for people with disabilities Support in development of Law Recommendations and calculations to the rules of the subsistence minimum estimation, etc.
PROJECT RESULTS 12 researches were conducted. Over 50 recommendations on the rights of Persons with Disabilities and persons in difficult life situations were produced About 500 specialists of social protection and medical and social expertise increased knowledge 3 grant project in social sphere was realized. 135 persons with disabilities and their families were the beneficiaries The participation of more than 20 public associations of persons with disabilities in decision-making process on protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, including Coordination Council on social protection of PWD under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Interactive map of the availability of social infrastructure was developed (
