Presentation transcript:

Why is Bishopston Comprehensive School working towards becoming a Fair-trade School? because Fairtrade offers a better deal for farmers in the developing world. Seven million people, farmers, workers and their families are better off because of fairtrade. We want to help increase this number. It is only fair that the people who produce what we eat, wear and use should get paid enough to live on and a chance to improve their lives. learning about Fairtrade will help us to understand how our actions can affect people in the wider world.

Thursday 25 th February

To raise awareness on Fairtrade issues, during Fairtrade Fortnight we had assemblies for pupils. March 1 st 2010

Pupils and staff are able to purchase Fairtrade products during break times at our Snack Shop. GEO cereal bars and Divine chocolate bars are available during our fairtrade Fridays.
