Malawi Statistical Baseline Food Production in Malawi

Food Production and Economy Unsustainable natural resource use is estimated to cost the government an equivalent of 5.3% of the annual GDP. The main contributors to the annual revenue loss due to resource degradation are forestry degradation (47.8%) and soil degradation (33.8%), followed by unsustainable fisheries (14.7%).
