Gary Guion earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin before establishing a career in the financial sector. Immediately following college, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he operated as an Associate in the Global Risk Management Solutions division. Today, Gary Guion helps manage the equity and debt financing firm SMG Capital Partners and contributes to a team of professionals that raise funding and negotiate ownership in real estate, private equity, and nonprofit projects. He and his colleagues at the firm had raised $10 million in equity. In addition to his ongoing responsibilities with the companies he manages, he also engages an array of recreational pursuits that include intramural basketball, mountain biking, weight training, and a variety of other athletic activities.
