An Intro To The Product The 3110 Evolve is a mobile phone produced by Nokia from early 2007 onwards. Product boasts many features that make is environmentally friendly

Environmentally Beneficial Features AC-8 charger. Significantly less packaging used. Made from bio-plastics.

Effects Of Said Features 94% less energy usage whilst charging+ switches off when not in use. Space in transit reduced, more can be stacked in the same truck. Less waste materials. In this case the bio-plastics are made from 60% recycled material, less waste.

How Could These Be Applied To Other Products. Less/recycled packaging can be applied to nearly every product. Many products come with unnecessary waste packaging. Charger can be applied to nearly every handheld device including phones, music players, cameras, laptops. Turning off when they no longer require charging and using less electricity whilst charging.

How Being Green Altered Nokia’s Image Are now “Greenest” firm according to Greenpeace. At a time when being green is extremely popular, releasing a phone like this made Nokia seem like a company that cared.

Altered Social Behaviour And Attitude Of the Customers Upon seeing the phone as popular, people may be influenced in terms of being “green”. Customers will not feel as guilty as they usually would when wasting electricity (leaving phone on charge) Customers will possibly use the phone in public more often as it is a symbol of environmentally friendliness as well as a phone.

Conclusion Nothing but a positive effect. Green, positive effect for the environment. Popular, positive effect for the company. Low cost, positive effect for people who may not have been able to afford a mobile phone previously
