THE BODIES OF SELF-GOVERNMENT  A representative council - sakrebulo ( საკრებულო )  An executive branch - gamgeoba ( გამგეობა "municipal government") in a self-governing community;  Meria ( მერია, "city hall") in a self-governing city;  Tbilisi – Special legal status;  Gamgebeli (Mayor)  First elections - on 25 June BUILDING OF TBILISI CITY ASSEMBLY

SERVICES DELIVERED BY SELF GOVERNMENT:  Maintenance, construction and development of roads of local importance;  Cleaning up the streets, planning and implementing operations related to waste collection/disposal and utilization;  Outdoor lighting;  Defining the parking lots;  Taking care of cemeteries;  Setting up pre and after school institutions in a form of a nonprofit (noncommercial) organizations and ratifying its policy;  Mobilizing resources in the field of health and social care on the local self government units in accordance with Georgian legislation. Establishing and implementing corresponding measures (establishing safe environment for human health, adopting the healthy life style, identifying health risk factors) providing population with information;  Naming and numbering of streets and squares;  Planning the traffic on the local self-government territory apart from the roads of international and interstate importance

CONCLUSIONS:  Level of civil activities among the population is low;  Distrust among the population;  Insufficient information about the institution;  Low Interest; KNOW THE LAW AND YOU WILL BE PROTECTED!
