The Cloth

If you knew you only had one week to live, would you continue living like you are living right now, or would you change everything?

MATTHEW 28:1-4 1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

MATTHEW 28:1-4 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

“SHOCK AND AWE!”

Shock and Awe means: Rapid Dominance, overwhelming power, a spectacular display of force that paralyzes the enemy.

MATTHEW 28:5 5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

MATTHEW 28:6 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

“ He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. ” MATTHEW 28:6A

Resurrection means to arise again from death to life.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: [a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: a 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21

19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21

21 God made him who had no sin to be sin [b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.b 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21

6 Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” MATTHEW 28:6B-9

8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. MATTHEW 28:6B-9

10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” MATTHEW 28:10

Every time we are in pain, every time we are suffering Every time we face adversity, doubt, or frustration Every time we feel very distant from God Every time we see a need; every time we plan a seed or Every time we read the Bible, pray or come to church Every time we have an encounter with the living God His desire is to increase our faith and dependence on Him!

“surely, I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.”

“Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7 as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus’ head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen.” JOHN 20:6-7
