The Florida Broadband Education Campaign A Joint Initiative of Workforce Florida And The Florida Learning Alliance

Goals of the Project 1) To provide broadband education, awareness and training at community institutions (schools, libraries, medical facilities) or organizations and agencies serving vulnerable populations (low income, unemployed, underemployed, aging), or job-creating strategic facilities

Goals of the Project 2) To stimulate the demand for broadband, as well as economic growth and job creation that rely upon or incorporate broadband

Goals of the Project 3) To create a trusted source of information for citizens to rely upon as they seek additional ways to explore and utilize broadband in their personal and professional lives.

How are these goals going to be achieved? With the guidance of the Regional Advisory Boards and interested citizens, the Campaign will develop training and education curriculum which will be disseminated through: Project Website Written Materials Face – to – Face Training Cable TV

What is the timeline for the Campaign? March 1 – August 31, 2011 Information Collection and Curriculum Development September 1, 2011 – February 29, 2012 Education and Training
