VPMM Changing Discharge Filter
Change filter element –Whenever high differential pressure is indicated Fluid must be above 85 o F for reliable alarm Differential Pressure Indicator
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Start standby pump and verify it is running properly Shut down the pump where filter will be changed and tag out motor Close associated pump discharge line isolation valve
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter Filter Cap Test Point Schroeder Microflex hose Attach one end of the Schroeder Microflex hose (provided with VPMM) to the test point on the filter cap in order to bleed off any residual hydraulic pressure and lace a container that will hold approximately one quart of EHC fluid under this port.
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Remove the cover on the fitting on the port labeled, “FILTER DRAIN PORT”. Filter Drain Port
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Clean off the top of the pump control manifold using a clean lint free cloth Loosen the four bolts holding the filter cap to the pump control manifold. Fluid should start to drain out of the “FILTER DRAIN PORT Filter Cap
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Filter Cap Filter Element Remove the filter cap
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Remove the high pressure filter element and replace it with the new one.
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Prior to replacing the filter cap check the o-ring and replace as needed Filter Cap O-Ring
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Replace the filter cap. Replace the cover in the port labeled, “FILTER DRAIN PORT”.
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued Schroeder Microflex hose Filter Cap Test Point Pump Control Manifold Test Point Verify that one end of the Microflex test hose is still connected to the test point on the filter cap and connect the other end to the test point on the pump control manifold
VPMM Changing Discharge Filter continued With the pump discharge isolation valve closed, start the hydraulic pump and allow the pump to run for at least one (1) minute. Shut the pump down Remove the Microflex test hose from both test points Open the pump discharge isolation valve. Return the pump to “Normal” or “Standby Mode”
VPMM Heaters and Control Cabinet
Reservoir Heater x 6Heater Control Cabinet
VPMM Heater Control Cabinet Power On Light Heater Controller Electrical Disconnect Switch Heater On Light
VPMM Heater Control Cabinet continued Heater Control is pre-programmed and ready to operate –Close Electrical Disconnect Switch Adjustable set point set at 85 o F –The Side Stream Filtering System should be in service when the main pumps are shut down for efficient heating of the fluid
