RESULTS 51,925,950 tCO2e Estimated emission Reductions (ER) over 30 years ( ) Average annual ERs 1,730, farmers benefited from conservation farming. 100 farmers benefited from beekeeping project 33 farmers benefited from community gardens Ward fire fighting teams established. RESULTS contd Evidence ‘there has been a significant reduction in deforestation in our area since the project involves several women from various areas thus reduces deforestation for garden use as we are now combined and operate in a centralised area. RESULTS contd ‘this initiative has strengthened our image in society. In a male dominated society the project has helped increase our status rating as wed as we are now viewed as independent and self reliant people. The project has brought about a lot of education and in some cases through this project women have actually been elevated to households heads.
