RAINWATER HARVESTING Rainwater harvesting is a technique of collection and storage of rainwater into natural reservoir or tanks, or the infiltration of surface water into surface aquifers.

RAINWATER HARVESTING One method of Rainwater harvesting is rooftop harvesting.

Why do we harvest Rainwater? To conserve surface water runoff during monsoon To reduce soil erosion To inculcate a culture of water conservation

Types of Rainwater Harvesting A. Surface runoff harvesting

Types of Rainwater Harvesting B .Rooftop rainwater harvesting

Harvesting Rainwater The 2 main ways of harvesting rainwater are collecting it from roofs and collecting surface runoff

Harvesting surface Runoff MULTISTORIED CROPPING : It is one kind of intercropping. Growing plants of different height in the same field at the same time is termed as Multi storied cropping.
