6 Reasons Why I Tithe

I tithe because God loves me 1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

I tithe because God loves me 1 John 4:9 God showed his love for us when he sent his only Son into the world to give us life. Real love isn't our love for God, but his love for us. God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven.

I tithe because God owns it all Job 41:11"Everything under heaven belongs to me.”

I tithe because God owns it all 2 Corinthians 5:15 Christ died for all of us. He died so we would no longer live for ourselves, but for the one who died and was raised to life for us.

I tithe because God asks me to Malachi 3:10 “I am the LORD All- Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house.”

I tithe because God asks me to 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give. But don't feel sorry that you must give and don't feel that you are forced to give. God loves it when people love to give.

I tithe because I want to see God bless others 1 John 4:19 We love because God loved us first. But if we say we love God and don't love each other, we are liars. We cannot see God. So how can we love God, if we don't love the people we can see? The commandment that God has given us is: "Love God and love each other!"

I tithe because I want to see God bless others 2 Corinthians 9:12 What you are doing is much more than a service that supplies God's people with what they need. It is something that will make many others thank God. The way in which you have proved yourselves by this service will bring honour and praise to God. You believed the message about Christ, and you obeyed it by sharing generously with God's people and with everyone else.

I tithe because I need God’s blessing Malachi 3:8 “You people are robbing me, your God. And, here you are, asking, "How are we robbing you?" You are robbing me of the offerings and of the ten percent that belongs to me. That's why your whole nation is under a curse...

I tithe because I need God’s blessing I am the LORD All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing. I will also stop locusts from destroying your crops and keeping your vineyards from producing. Everyone of every nation will talk about how I have blessed you and about your wonderful land.”

I tithe because I need God’s blessing Matthew 6:31 “What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.”
