STRUCTURES AND STRATEGIES FOR A TEACHER WHAT IS NEEDED TO HAVE AN EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT TO CREATED AND FOSTER TWENTY FIRST CENTURY LEARNING THROUGH ASSESSMENTS.

THE BIG FIVE OF AN ASSESSMENT THE MAJOR FOCUSES OF A CURRICULUM Analytical- logical reasoning. Conceptual- mental concepts. Informational Management -how you set up the information Communication- imparting or exchanging of information or news Meta-cognitive- awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes

STRATEGY 1 Clarifying, understanding and sharing learning intentions Showing examples of work with different qualities To show different levels of thinking when being assessed

STRATEGY 2 Engineering Effective classroom discussions tasks and activities that elicit evidence of learning. Multiply choice Simultaneously on min white board

STRATEGY 3 Providing feedback that moves learners forward To show what the student knows and what they need help on. Getting feed back from the students rather ten telling them

STRATEGY 4 Activating students as learning resources for one another Providing a check list for the students when they give the feed back for other students Come up with sure ways to show they have an understanding of what they are learning.

STRATEGY 5 Activating students as owners of their own learning Research 3 sources before you go to teacher Have a log on what you are learning to reflect on

TYPES OF ASSESSMENT Formative is what you are going to learn about in the future Summative is what you know in a particular subject you are learning

MY THOUGHTS ON THESE TYPES OF ASSESSMENTS AND OW THEY CAN BE IMPLEMENTED IN CLASSROOM I feel they both are good to have in assessments because formative allows you to think ahead while Summative allows you to know what you need to assess while thinking ahead in a particular subject. I feel they can be implemented in all the lesson by knowing ahead of time wat you want the child to learn and wat level of thinking the child is on.

MY EXAMPLE If you want to learn all there is to know about stars you can pin point a particular subject on stars and focus on that while getting the rest of the information ahead of time on that same subject but have not covered it yet but will. Are playing learning game were you have steps to complete the lesson but getting the main information for it first in order to get to the next stage or grade level of your learning process.
