Amazing Wolves By Mike By Mike10/6/09

Introduction Most people are scared of wolves. But did you know wolves are our friends? Well they are. Here are the things I have learned about wolves. Hope you enjoy the facts!

Adaptations First, wolves have sharp teeth to protect themselves and to chew. Second, wolves have good hearing to know if people are going to kill them. Third, wolves talk by howling so they can let each other know when other animals are coming. Fourth, wolves have strong legs so they can run fast and catch other animals.

Depend upon Wolves depend on their teeth so they can catch and eat other animals. It’s also good for grabbing and holding their prey. Wolves depend on their pack because they protect each other. Another reason they depend on their pack is they help each other get large prey.

Food chain Bears eat wolf pups and wolves eat elk and elk eat grass.

How to survive Wolves survive by hunting in packs. They hunt in packs so they can eat larger animals.

Why it’s endangered Wolves are endangered because people are killing them. People are killing wolves because wolves are destroying life stock. People are killing wolves by setting wolf traps. Also, wolves are endangered because people are fishing and wolves eat fish.

How to save the wolves We can save the wolves by not hunting them. Also, we can save the wolf by not fishing because they eat fish.

Conclusion As you can see, these are the things that I’ve learned about wolves.
