Summary Report Project Name: OpenCDS Brief Project Description: Multi-institutional effort to collaboratively develop standards-based, open-source clinical decision support (CDS) tools and resources that can be widely adopted to enable CDS at scale. Major milestones to date: 1.0 in March 2012 Projected milestones: 1.2 in April 2013 Major release dates: March 2012, October 2012 Contribution date: March 2012 Contribution value: Approximately 7.5 person years invested in the original contribution plus new work within the OpenCDS project team.

OHT OpenCDS Dec 2012 Boca Chart Content Knowledge management platform – Implemented full stack for authoring, testing, and managing knowledge resources. Iteratively defining based on operational use. HL7/OMG Decision Support Service (DSS) interface – Implemented Evaluation interface with HL7 Virtual Medical Record (vMR 1.0) payload. Working on support for CCD/C32 payload. Domain-optimized resources – Immunization Calculation Engine: ICE, TestManager, RuleManager, Knowledge Base will be freely distributed as content.
