 Incline planes make jobs easier but make more work.  They make it easier by going on an angle which which means you can push something up it.  Incline planes are good to push things up to get it into a truck or car.

 Lever’s can help you lift things that are heavy.  They can work by putting a stick or something long and strong under something you can’t lift then you put your weight on the stick and what your lifting will come off the ground.  Levers are great for lifting heavy things.  Levers can have a pivot point.

 Pulleys can help you do things like put up a flag or tie your shoe laces.  When you pulley a pulley you can pull something up or down they help pull heavy things.  For example a pulley can put up a flag on a flag post.  Shoe laces are pulleys because you pull them to tighten your shoes.

 Wheel and axle’s are on most transport they help them move.  The wheel spins on the axle to make it move across the ground.  The wheel is round to make them roll across the ground.

 Screws help make holes and keep things together.  Screws work by turning into something like wood.  They stay in place because the parts sticking out get stuck in one place.

 Wedges are made by sharp things poking into something.  Your teeth wedge into food to break it up into small bit’s you can swallow.  Nearly everything can make a wedge.

 Fulcrums are things that can move things up and down like a seesaw.  They work by putting a plank of would or something so it will go up and down on it.  Fulcrums can help find which is heavier out of to things.

 Gears are on lots of things like bikes.  Gears make work easier or harder.  Gears are made of wheels with little spikes on them.
