LEADERSHIP – Parliament (Unicameral) “National Assembly” – 210 Members – 12 Members appointed by President to take care of various issues. – 2 ex-officials (Speaker and Attorney General) Legislative and Executive Branches are separate. Parliament is Supreme. President, Vice-President and Cabinet serve with support of Parliament.

Republic of Kenya CITIZEN PARTICIPATION – Voting Citizens over 18 years of age can vote. President elected to 5-year term. – Personal Freedoms Life, Liberty and Security Freedom of Expression Freedom of Assembly Right to Private Property Right to Due Process
