LinkedIn Groups You can create and join groups that you want to established. Example: Alumni Groups, industry conference and business orientated groups You can accept or rejects all applications if you create the group Meeting new people in your industry 8

LinkedIn is for Active seekers that are looking for a job Connecting with co-workers, friends, and colleagues to stay in touch use each other for personal references Companies to post job listing (which they have to pay for) You can post job listing for your company (free services for you) Full time recruiters and headhunters Entrepreneurs can seek out potential business partners, vendors and clients 9

How is LinkedIn Different?  Professional polish on social networking  You should have confidents that all your “Connections” positive recommendation for future jobs or even a personal references.  LinkedIn is different than other Social Media because they focus on your achievements and finding a great employer that fits you. 12

Does it really work?  It’s much easier getting a job with someone that you know than a complete stranger  Allows you to job search in connections, you can get an introduction through a mutual friend 13
