Banking Project
Summary: This activity helps students experience the responsibility of finding a financial institution that fits their needs. Objective : Describe and discuss financial institutions and demonstrate how to manage personal financial accounts. Materials: Students will need brochures from various financial institutions or students may use the Internet to find information. Student Prior Knowledge: Students need to know banking terminology such as APR, minimum balance, overdraft fee, etc.
Intended Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to draw a conclusion about which financial institution would be most effective for them in their personal circumstances. Instructional Procedures: Project the PowerPoint presentation with the directions. Students will choose a two financial institutions to research and make a power point presentation with the required information. All students then evaluate the provided information and fill out the worksheet with their assessments and conclusions.
