 NUGGETS OF LEADERSHIP FOR CAMP RYLA   Group thinking is better than individual thinking  Goals point the way to success  You never get a second chance to make a good first impression  Build on individual strengths  Trust is a must  People tend to support that which they help create  Agree to disagree without being disagreeable  Leadership is action, not elected position.  When you give positive comments to others you get positive results  Conflicts will happen whenever two or more people discuss an issue  “Reaching for the stars” is a sign of a successful leader.  Good leaders model “Truth, justice, and the American way”.  Leaders must share responsibility and know how to delegate jobs to others  Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is a process; working together is success  Leaders must have “the vision” in order to be effective in leading others. 

 You’re grounded and your parents are away for the evening. Friends drop by and ask you to join them for a hamburger. It will be two hours before your parents come home. Your friends say the punishment given by your parents was unfair. What do you do?
