Farkle is a game of chance You need: a) 6 dice b) A good head for numbers c) A lot of luck The object of the game is to accumulate 1,000 points first!

When it’s your turn, you throw all 6 dice together Here’s how you score: a) If a number 1 shows up, it’s 10 points. b) If a number 5 shows up, it’s 5 points. If you get any score on a roll, you can keep rolling!! When you want to keep the score you have accumulated, you can stop by saying ‘stick’.

If you roll the dice and no score comes up, you lose your points from that turn. This is called FARKLE!

N.B.  To get on the scoreboard, you must score 65 points in one turn.

Here are some more complicated ways to score: a) If 3 dice of the same number shows up in 1 roll, it’s worth that number x 10. (e.g. 3 x no.4 dice together is 40 points). A fourth of the same number doubles your group of 3. (e.g. 4 x no. 4 dice together is 40x2=80) b) If 3 no.1’s show up in the one roll, this is 100 points! (Any extra no.1’s in the same roll doubles that score. E.g. 4 x no.1 = 200 points.) c) If you get 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in 1 roll it’s 120 points d) If you get 3 pairs in 1 roll, it’s 50 points If you keep scoring, you can keep rolling!!

Take a gamble:  Once you’re on the scoreboard, you can gamble on someone else’s score, by throwing the dice they have left over.  This means if the person beside you scores e.g. 120 points with 2 dice left to throw and decides to stick, you can throw those 2 dice and add to their score for your benefit!  In this case, e.g. Out of the 2 dice, a no.1 comes up, you have scored 130 (their your 10).  By gambling on someone else’s score, you are not robbing their score. In the example above, they would keep their 120, while you would score 130.
