Objective: This presentation aims to deliver the following: Writing Test plans. Managing test cases repository as per product and test plans Keeping records of test case execution in different environments i.e. browsers. Logging bugs in bugzilla and getting assigned to respective test cases on own. Getting reports of the entire testing of a product Need to explore plugging with Automation tools like QTP, so that we can define and manage automation scripts also through this test management tool. As per testopia documentation we can do so by using XMLRPC interface.

Overview of Testopia The functions defined in this includes: Making Test plans. Assigning respective modules to QA member Writing Test cases and uploading them in Testopia. Testopia is integrated with Bugzilla so bugs reported in bugzilla get assigned to respective test case. Managing test case execution record for different records. Run certain test cases for sanity testing only. Generating reports of complete testing.

Testopia Additional Features : Putting tags for test cases. Search conducted as in bugzilla, Filtering available. Build can be traced in which fixes are given from dev for regression. Viewing history of each test cases. Assigning rights to QA member to read write, test plans. Files can be attached as screen shots if required with test cases. Test cases if dependent on each other can be marked as dependent. Can be used for manual and automation both.Scripts can also be stored.
