Introduction/Background  Clemson Research Safety Department wants to record “near misses” in campus facilities  iOS version of the app is already in production  We are creating a Android version of the app that will be virtually similar to the iOS

Problem to be Solved  Android version of this app needs to be created so that all students will have access to the app and more information can be submitted to the Research Safety Department

Purpose/Motivation Goal: Provide an easy to use Android application that will allow students to report a “near miss” of an accident to the Department of Research Safety. This data will be used to prevent possible accidents in the future and create safer environments for Clemson students to work in. Method: Create an application that will be intuitive, short, and easy to submit so that a student will not be deterred to submit a report because of inconvenience

Approach Taken  Develop an Android app where users can record near misses and upload relevant information to the Research Safety database  Reports will be ed to the Research Safety Department  Reports will be submitted to an external database  Location of incident will be recorded  Photos/Videos can be reported to aid description of “near miss”  Admin feature on app will allow administrators to read/edit reports on the app itself  Authoring Tool allows reading/editing of reports on a web browser
