Advanced Math Testing Test administered at each elementary building during the month of April. Students who are in Advanced Math already are automatically enrolled into Advanced Math at the MS unless the elementary teacher believes the student should not continue in Advanced Math. Placement based on testing results, teacher recommendation and current math performance.

Middle School STEAM What is STEAM? - A project based learning style with the focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math - Allows disciplines to connect through project learning like in the workplace and college - Connects the Arts to show the importance of creativity in the workplace What does it look like? - STEAM ELA and Science class. Students apply to both classes and work on rigorous project-based lessons in both subject areas. - An application and testing process took place prior to March 1st.

Important Dates March 10th - 7:00 PM – 6 th Grade Parent Orientation March 11th - Registration packets due to elementary building. March 24th and 28th: Strings/Band recruitment May – Articulations at the elementary schools (Scotch and Roosevelt) May or June – Scotch and Roosevelt visit Abbott June – 6 th grade ELA teacher goes to Scotch and Roosevelt to talk about required summer reading. August 25th– 6 th grade summer orientation and jump start (schedule, chromebook, locker, picture taken). 8 am to noon (parent meeting 8-9:15 am)
