P.L.A.Y. - Overview Prior Lake Athletics for Youth, serves the Prior Lake/Savage School District, to provide competitive yet fun athletic opportunities for kids. Our priority is safety, skills development, and the teaching of life lessons through sports. Our program promotes the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and integrity. We believe learning both success and failure through competition will benefit our future generations. 3

Important Dates Week of April 18th – Opening Week for 4 th Grade & up Week of April 18th– Games Begin! – Game Schedule on BAC Baseball website – You will be provided instructions to enter your contact info on BAC website so you receive league notifications Picture Nights – May 11 th and May 12 th Weekend of June – Border Battle 6 th /7th Weekend of July – Year-End Tourney – Volunteer Expectation (4 th -7 th ) – min. 2 per team 19

Field Closings - Weather Rainout policy – BAC and P.L.A.Y. handle things differently! – If game schedule for P.L. field, and P.L. fields are closed, you might still play! Ryan/Ponds will be closed if city says so – no judgement calls Summit Pointe may be used at discretion of coaches at field Game could be rescheduled to a BAC field – If game is scheduled for BAC/VAA field, we have to abide by their procedures If their city has not closed fields, call is made by BOTH coaches at the field – Notification will come from either BAC or your head coach – text or – If you have not received official word, assume game will be played! 20

9u Tournament Teams Two teams (24 players) Participate in two local 9u tournaments – Shakopee – June – Prior Lake – June

Tournament Teams - Requirements Must play 3 rd grade IH Baseball AND be enrolled in 3 rd grade in school – No “playing up” – (Cannot turn 10 prior to April 30 th, 2016) Must be available for all required dates: – “Selection Practices” Friday, May 6 th – 6-8 PM (Summit Point) Sunday, May 8 th – 3-5 PM (Summit Point) – Tournament team practices Friday nights and/or Sunday nights through the tourney weekends – Both Tournament weekends – June and June Total Cost - $100 (includes registration for two tournaments and tournament jersey) – Payable once teams have been announced 24

Tournament Teams - Process If interested, please Matt O’Connell by Noon on Monday, April 25 th – – Include player name, Team # and contact “Selection Practices” – Stations will be led and evaluated by traveling coaches and/or baseball board members – Hitting, Infield, Outfield, Pitching and Catching – also will scrimmage Rosters announced by Tuesday, May 10th – Only space for 24 players – Evaluation modeled after traveling program – Independent player evaluations will be submitted to baseball board – team selections will be considered final – evaluation results will not be shared – Coaches will be named on (or shortly after) rosters are posted 25
