SIL International-Bangladesh has been registered as a non-profit and non- governmental organisation with the NGO Affairs Bureau since the year SIL Bangladesh supports different communities with sociolinguistic and baseline survey, developing writing systems, MLE, dictionary development, advocacy and networking & other development works.

SIL International – Bangladesh exists to serve ethnic communities of Bangladesh so that the communities achieve their development goals while retaining their cultural and linguistic identities.
