Classroom Management Plan Rashi Ratliff Edu 299

Classroom Management Plan Kindergarten My classroom management plan is established to maintain a positive environment in the classroom. By stating simple and clear rules, the students will know what is expected of them. I will encourage good behavior by implementing a reward system that recognizes those students who follow the rules of the classroom. There will also be consequences put into play for those students who display inappropriate behavior. I will also keep a daily behavior log documenting incidents that may occur on a given day. Through my classroom management plan, I hope to establish and maintain positive relationships in the classroom as well as a healthy learning environment.

Rules We use our inside voice. We use our walking feet. We respect the personal space and property of others. We raise our hands before we speak. We take turns and share.

Rewards Preferred Activity Time (Individual) Student must earn a required number of star punches on their behavior punch card. Examples include extra recess time with another class, non-academic computer time, select a class activity from a list of choices, draw a prize from the class prize box, etc. Preferred Activity Time (Group) Group as a whole must earn a required number of star punches on their behavior punch card. Examples include movie time, class party, extra recess time, puzzle or game time, etc.

Consequences (Individual) First sad face = Student given a verbal warning. Second sad face = Student given verbal warning and changes color card to yellow. Third sad face = Student changes color card to purple and loses privileges. Fourth sad face = Student changes color card to blue and phone call/email to parent(s). Fifth sad face = Student changes color card to orange and receive conference with parent(s). Sixth sad face = Student changes color card to red and receive conference with parent(s) and principal.

Consequences (Group) Strike 1 = Verbal warning Strike 3 = Put away materials, return to seat, thinking time Strike 4 = Lose recess time or another activity
