The pair are similar in coloring, being mostly shades of rust and browns. Their size is quite close, Henry VI measuring 8 x 10 and Macbeth 8 1/8 x 10 7/8 in. Neither item is signed on the surface of the painting. Notes (Hamnet) History: There is a smaller version, painted in shades of blue and green, of the same scene from Macbeth cataloged as part of a Wright watercolor series (ART Box W951 no.75).
