Proprietary and Confidential – Use or distribution subject to restrictions on first page About TerreStar Global Ltd Terre Star Global, an EU Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) company plans to –Build next generation mobile communications network integrating satellite and terrestrial technologies. –Offer a level of resiliency and survivability far beyond any conventional ground-based system or existing satellite technology –Help solve critical communication challenges for the national homeland defence, public safety and rural communities. The TerreStar satellites, with antennae almost twenty meters across –Will be able to communicate with standard wireless devices –Will utilize a Complementary Ground Component (terrestrial network) –Will provide the highest levels of ubiquity, resiliency, security and capability from an integrated satellite / terrestrial network The EU (DG INFSO) is currently developing a Spectrum Allocation and Authorization process that –Will assign 2 x 30 MHz of Pan-European spectrum in the 2.0 GHz band. –TerreStar Global is a leading proponent of allocating this spectrum to serve public interests, including 2-way resilient communications for emergency response and rural communications.

Proprietary and Confidential – Use or distribution subject to restrictions on first page Enhanced Value for Telematics Services Europe’s Premier Emergency Response Network: Resilient and Ubiquitous –TerreStar plans to build and operate a pan-European MSS network that will provide dependable mobile communications to drivers in case of a road emergency –The TerreStar solution will effectively end drop-outs or dead zones and provide communication resilience and redundancy and as a result, reduce emergency response times and save lives. Truly mobile solution –Sustained connectivity while moving at speeds over 95km/hr High data speeds & bandwidth –3G quality data throughputs (HSDPA speeds of 3.6Mbps terrestrially, as high as 400Kbps through the satellite) –Ability to send significant volumes of data over wireless network Flexible applications for a wide range of safety and security needs –All-IP network supports prioritization, and security functionality within any given application A Carrier’s Carrier: Providing Wholesale Capacity to Telematic Providers –A Universal Chipset embedded in the telematic device enables interoperability with terrestrial cellular networks allowing providers to complement their existing services with dependable, wide-area satellite coverage.
