Medicine Definition A drug or other preparation for the treatment or prevention of disease. The science or practice of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease (in technical use often taken to exclude surgery).

Examples of Medicine Anesthesia- an anesthetic that is given to someone before they have a medical operation, or the use of anesthetics. Herbal Medicine- medicine made from plants Narcotic- a drug that people use when they are very ill in order to feel less pain and sleep better

Legal Recreational Drugs Recreational drugs- are taken by people to alter their mood. alcohol and tobacco are legal recreational drugs. heroin and cocaine are illegal recreational drugs.

Examples of Legal Recreational Drugs Cigarettes- Speaking of dying, did you know cigarettes are horrible for you? Either way, they're one of the few recreational drugs that are legal, Coffee-The only thing it will leave more stained than your teeth and tie is your soul. Salvia-When weed isn't an option, you could always turn to something else that resembles it but produces a hallucinogenic effect
