AVID is designed to help students prepare for and succeed in high school and college.
Upon acceptance into AVID, students must enroll in at least one Pre-AP course. AVID is a state elective class which meets during the regular school day. The AVID program teaches students: How to study Read for Content Take Notes & Organize Manage Time
Students participate in collaborative study groups or tutorials led by college facilitators who use skillful questioning to bring students to a higher level of understanding.

How do I get into the AVID Program? Once we receive your application or nomination we will come and meet with you. You can be nominated by a teacher or counselor OR You can pick up a application from me today, fill it out and return it to your teacher
