Mitosis and Cytokinesis 12/2-3/15 Starter: 12/2-Why do you think Cancer occurs? 12/3 What is the main job of mitosis? 12/2-3/15 Cell Cycle Model Application/ Connection/Exit: Cell Cycle Model Due 12/8/15 1. Create a model to illustrate each stage of the cell cycle. Include each of the following in your model: a. Each stage of the cycle: interphase (G1, S, G2), mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase), and cytokinesis b. Appropriate labels for each stage (including but not limited to: nucleus, chromosomes, centrioles, spindle fibers, nuclear membrane) 2. After completing your model, write a description that explains how your model illustrates each stage of the cell cycle. Cell Cycle Model EQ: How does DNA and RNA control the structure and function of cells and of entire organisms? Practice: Write 5 things you learn from the video

Mitosis and Cytokinesis Demeber 2-3, 2015 AGENDA B.5 A. Students will Describe the stages of the cell cycle, including mitosis, and the importance of the cell cycle to the growth of organisms by reading and writing during an activity. 1 Starter 2. Notes 3. Activity
