ASTC…in its primitive stages Athletes Serving the Community (ASTC) is a club that I cofounded along with my friends Kevin Karn and Saul de la Barra Bustillos during my junior year of high school. The purpose of the club was to provide an environment where people can hang out, enjoy time with each other, and plan and carry out community service projects. The logo to the right is ASTC’s first logo.

Service Projects: Collaboration with Stop Hunger Now Canned Food Drive D.C. Coat and Blanket Drive Boxed Food Drive J-day Booth
Stop Hunger Now For our very first service project, we aided the organization Stop Hunger Now with packaging food for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Additional packages were also sent to different places in Africa.
ASTC…today Although all of the founding fathers have graduated, ASTC continues on today as one of the strong service organizations at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. To the left is our current logo.
