Logistics Institute Finally…  Brief introduction to related project “NS FRITS”  invitation to join the NS FRITS stakeholder group.

Logistics Institute Aims of NS FRITS North Sea Freight Intelligent Transport Solutions  Develop a multi-lingual electronic communication and data capture system for the freight supply chain to provide end users; drivers, fleet / transport managers, freight handlers, with information about conditions in the country/region/area they are about to enter  Assist with key issues in the NSR such as transport congestion, traffic flow, safety and security  Improve interoperability and integration between transnational and secondary networks providing visibility across supply chains, sharing data, so that all elements of the supply chain benefit  Improve performance, profitability and competitiveness of long distance and intermodal services  Establish an ICT solution that includes telecommunications and the increasing range of sensory, location, security identification and data capture leading edge technologies within the supply chain, which will transmit data at ports and other critical transport corridor points……etc
