Presentation transcript:

 According to the dynamics of traffic growth on the Kiev railway junction the existing transport capacity will be exhausted between the years This situation requires preconceived actions to create a new capacity for the rail transportation services on the junction.  The Further development of the railway junction will be restrained by the problem of technical capacity of existing highways in Kiev and in the first place of existing bridges across the Dnieper River, which capacity has approached to exhaustion.  Moreover, building of new railway and road bridge alongside of the existing railway bridge is conditioned by the fact that the existing road bridges in Kiev are overdriven and the building of a new combined bridge with 6-band road traffic will relieve the severity of the problem.  Commissioning of the new railway bridge will allow to repair the existing bridge and extend its service life.

 The building has been realizing since 2004 according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from № 755 "About the building of the railway and road bridge across the Dnieper in Kiev on the railway station Kyiv - Moscowskyi – Darnytsya”, in which "South-Western Railway” is customer DHTO "South-Western Railway, and financing should be provided by attracting credits, Railway’s funds and other sources and from № 490-p "About the beginning of building of objects of the Ministry of transport in Kiev on the basis of technical and economic study, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from № 733-p.  The bridge building project was approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 26 th of September, 2007 № 798-r "About the approval of the project of the construction of railway and road bridge across the Dnieper (with approaches) in Kiev railway station Kyiv - Moscovskyi - Darnitsya“.

 Railway and road bridge across the Dnieper river in Kiev combines two components: the railway - two lines, and the road - the road with six lanes (three in each direction). The length of the bridge is m, the building-length of the railway track is km, the length of the road approaches is km. The plan provides totally the building of 170 piers and installation of 169 baulks. The estimated cost of the construction is 9157 million UAH.  In the presented Project the transport intersection on the Right Side of Kyiv (with solution of all the left and right turns) and the Left Side of Kyiv (with the left turn to Bereznyakivska street and right turn to the Dnieper embankment) has been in detail worked out. The bound of the road starts from Stolychne Highway with access to Boryspil highway. The railway covers the part of the station "Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi" to the Darnytsya railway station. The project is divided on several phases.

The components of the Project are:  Railway and road bridge;  Railway overpass of the right-bank approach;  Railway overpass of the left-bank approach;  Road intersection with the Dnieper highway (Right Bank );  Road intersection with the Dnieper embankment (Left Bank);  Train approaches of the Left Bank of Kyiv (retaining walls, roadbed, permanent way);  Train approaches of the Right Bank of Kyiv (retaining walls, roadbed, permanent way);  Stop platform " Left Bank of Kyiv " ;  Rail overpasses in the area of stop platform " Left Bank of Kyiv “;  Pedestrian bridge near Wayside stop " Left Bank of Kyiv ”;  Car approaches of the Left Bank of Kyiv ;  Car approaches of the Right Bank of Kyiv ;  Reconstruction of engineering networks (water conduits, rain sewerages, drainages, gas pipeline, heat networks, communication lines) in the area of the bridge approaches building;  Bus station “Vydubychi”

 With total estimated object cost of 9157 million UAH, from the beginning of building has been financed million UAH, of which million UAH by the state budget. Credit indebtedness is million UAH, including 212 million UAH of the state budget. Underfunding of building by the state budget as a whole is 1364 million UAH, including from million UAH and from million UAH.

The right-bank part The river bed part

 To continue object construction the Railway decided to involve to the building its structural units.  On the building Right-Bank approaches was finished the building of the railway overpass, the piers of the road overpass and 50% of piers on descents of the road overpass. On the road overpass building was completed installation of the metal structures of baulks from the upside (The building 2P) and 76% of the metal structures of baulks from the underside (The building 1H).  On the building of the bridge across the Dnieper was completed the piers building, the installation of the baulks of the top road and railway passage, on 95% was completed the installation of the baulks of the bottom road.  On the left-bank approaches building was completed the building of the railway overpass, the railway component of the Bereznyakivskyi overpass and the installation of the baulks of the road overpass from the upside (The building 1L), at 75% was completed the installation of the baulks of the road overpass from the bottom (building 2Л).

The first train has passed the railway component of the new brige p.
