  The Indian River State College Ambassador Leadership Program is designed to recognize exemplary student leaders at IRSC.  Students will be selected for this program based on their academics, leadership, and community service.  Selection will ensure a well-rounded representation of the student body. What is our mission?

  Leadership, collaboration and interpersonal skills  Intercultural communication and awareness  Conflict management  Development and expansion of communication and public speaking skills  Serve as a role model to incoming students  Increased knowledge of campus resources  Establish lasting relationships with student leaders and college administration, faculty and staff  The opportunity to showcase what you have learned during your time at IRSC  The opportunity to mold this program into something AWESOME for IRSC  Career building networking experience  Documented leadership experience for your resume  Institutional recognition for your leadership achievement, service and involvement. How do you benefit from the program?

  Under the direction of the Student Affairs Division facilitate and promote student engagement and involvement of current and potential IRSC students  Serve as campus tour guides, role models, and peer mentors for other students  Assist in college orientations, student led activities; student led workshops, and officially sanctioned campus and community functions.  Participate in Leadership Trainings over the Summer Duties and Expectations:

  Participate on the Student Leadership Conference Logistics and Marketing Committee  Attend the Conference as a breakout session leader  Serve as a co-facilitator at two Pioneer Leadership Institutes during the academic year (one in the Fall & one in the Spring)  Attend monthly meetings  Participate/Co-Facilitate special projects assigned by the Division of Student Affairs  AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED!  Primary difference:  Elite Pioneers are given additional goals and responsibilities based on their willingness to develop their leadership skills. Some similarities include:  Must be current student.  Must keep a 2.0+ cumulative and per semester GPA.  Required to be punctual to all assigned events  Both are here to facilitate and promote student engagement and involvement for current and potential IRSC students.
