Deep in the RAINFOREST by Donna M. Bateman

Deep in the rainforest, in the warm morning sun, Lived a mother red eye tree frog and her little frog One. “Jump!” said the mother. “I jump,” said the One. So they jumped and they played in the warm morning sun.

Deep in the rainforest, where the trees grew, Lived a mother gorilla and her little gorilla. “Swing!” said the mother. “We swing,” said the Two. So they swung through the prairies where the trees grew.

Deep in the rainforest, on the tree, Lived a mother jaguar and her little jaguars Three. “Stalk!” trilled the mother. “We stalk,” trilled the Three. So they stalk loud and long on the tree.

Deep in the rainforest, in a thicket on the shore, Lived a mother crocodile and her little crocodiles four. “Snap!” said the mother. “We snap,” said the Four. So they snap all day long in their thicket on the shore.

Deep in the rainforest, where the sun thrive. Lived a mother ant and her little ants Five. “Sting!” said the mother. “We sting,” said the Five. So they stung in the sun where the sun thrive.
