Revelation 7:16 (ESV) 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.

“I Thirst” Suffering is a result of sin in the world. Sometimes, suffering is a natural consequence of our own sin. There was no suffering in creation before the fall, and there will be none in heaven. Jesus suffered for sin on our behalf. We should embrace our suffering to glorify God and enter into others’ suffering to help. We are to redeem suffering! How Thirsty Are You? John 19:25-30
“I Thirst” Prophesies were fulfilled in Jesus’ crucifixion. The prophesy of “I thirst” is a unique one. Jesus had nothing to do with some prophesies. Jesus played a part in other prophesies. In this case, Jesus controlled the prophesy. The point here is that Jesus did something! How Thirsty Are You? John 19:25-30
Application What are you doing in your life to fulfill scripture? John 17:17 says, “Sanctify them by truth, your word is truth.” We will be sanctified! “It is Finished” What is meant by “It is finished”? No more sufferings The work He had been sent to do was finished. The fulfillment of the prophesies of His first coming Finished fulfilled – Luke 18:31; Luke 22:37; Acts 13:29
Luke 18:31 (ESV) 31 And taking the twelve, he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished.”
Luke 22:37 (ESV) 37 “For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me has its fulfillment.”
Acts 13:29 (ESV) 29 And when they had carried out all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb.
