* Hormonal method * Small, thin beige-colored patch worn on skin * Must be prescribed by Dr. * Worn for 3 weeks in a row (must apply new patch each week) followed by fourth patch-free week * Change location weekly * 99% effective if used correctly

* Contains chemicals that kill sperm * Spermicide is inserted far up in the vagina to keep sperm out of the uterus * Come in the form of gel, foam, cream, tablet, film or suppository * Use with a barrier method * 94% effective
