New Hadrons2 D(2550), D(2610), and D(2760) BaBar observed three new excited D mesons, D(2550), D(2610) and D(2760) –These are analyzed by experimentalists: D(2550) 0 and D*(2610) 0 as –D(2760) as L=2 state (L= internal angular momentum) : there are three L=2 states but not identified to be one We calculate the decay widths (also referring to the mass predictions) –D(2550) as but with much narrower decay width compared with the experiment –D(2610) as an admixture of –D(2760) as either an orthogonal partner of D(2610) or Competition with Xian-Hui Zhong (arXiv: /PhysRevD ); also with Zhi-Gang Wang (arXiv: /PhysRevD )

Spectroscopy QCD potential model predictions Observations of higher states have been hindered by poor statistics T. Matsuki 11/02/28New Hadrons14 Belle FOCUS (omitted from Summary Table)

Admixture of 1 - states D(2610) may be an admixture of D(2760) could be a cousin of this mixture Suggested by explanation due to Rosner (PRD64, (2001)) T. Matsuki 11/02/28New Hadrons15

Decay Channels T. Matsuki 11/02/28New Hadrons16

Allowed Decay Channels Use the QPC model for all the (OZI-allowed) channels below thresholds (taking into account phase space also) T. Matsuki 11/02/28New Hadrons17
