PFEP #5 There are five action steps we believe are crucial for community colleges to advance entrepreneurship in their communities: 1.Create or Expand Internal & External Teams Dedicated to Entrepreneurship 2.Increase Entrepreneurs' Engagement in Community Colleges 3.Engage in Industry Cluster Development 4.Leverage Both Community College and Community Assets to Spur Innovation and Job Creation 5.CREATE BUZZ AND BROAD EXPOSURE OF YOUR COLLEGE'S COMMITMENT TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP

GOALS 1.Determine what you are trying to solve (pre- work) 2.Crowdsource and test solutions 3.Leave with a plan and a community of support 4.Let us know how it is going – What is the best way to do this?

AGENDA – 1 ST HALF First Half - Develop your brand within your own entrepreneurial ecosystem. Then you will practice engaging your stakeholders. Step One: Assess your internal brand strengths (Mark) (15 min) Step Two: Position your brand within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem (Mark and Tom L.) (45 min) Engage your stakeholders (Tom L., Kevin at Indian River) (30 min)

AGENDA – 2 ND HALF Second Part: Develop a plan to create buzz in your community and via PR/social media. Create some buzz in the ecosystem (Tom at Indian River) (30 min) Light up the interwebs using events and video (Greg and Maria) (40 min)

ICE BREAKER – Turn to your neighbor, give them your name, college, one word to describe your colleges’ role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and ice versa – Now introduce your neighbor to the class
