1 John Series 1 John 4:5 The Battle Royal

Cosmic Viewpoint verses Divine Viewpoint

1. Even though Jesus Christ controls history Satan is the ruler of the world. John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11; 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2

2. The cosmic system is Satan's strategy to control believers and unbelievers. It is his policy and propaganda for the rulership of this world.

3. It’s composed of two separate strategies.

3. It’s composed of two separate strategies. a) Cosmic 1; the exploitation of believers and unbelievers through their own arrogance.

b) Cosmic 2; his propaganda and indoctrination to educate and promote subtle antagonism toward anything related to God, especially the grace of God.

4. Cosmic 1 emphasizes arrogance and abnormal preoccupation with self.

Cosmic 2 emphasizes antagonism and intolerance toward the plan, purpose, and will of God, as well as toward all Christians executing it. 1 John 2:15-17

1 Tim 4:1-2, “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith (Bible Doctrine), paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons (false teaching and cosmic viewpoint), 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron.”

Eph 2:1-3, “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked (spiritually dead) according to the course of this world (Satan's Cosmic System), according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.”

5. Both un / believers lead by their sin natures are occupied with the Cosmic System with the result that their frame of reference is from the cosmic system.

Therefore they are positive towards false teaching, which emanates from that same Cosmic System and rejects the teaching of the Word of God.

6. In hearing false teaching un / believers in the cosmic system respond to the frame of reference compatible with their souls, cosmic viewpoint.

7. The message of the false teacher then, is compatible with the system he represents, the cosmic system of Satan.

Those who live in the cosmic system have an affinity with that false teaching.

8. They are neither interested nor understand the truth of God's Word and His Plan for their lives.

9. Their frame of reference is prejudiced and biased against true doctrinal teaching from the Word of God.

10. This then results in a generation that rejects:

10. This then results in a generation that rejects: c) Bible doctrine (for the believer only), which leads to a degenerate society.

Eph 2:19, “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household.” 1 John 4:6; 2:20-21, ; 1 Peter 2:9
