WHY ARE BURROWING OWLS IMPORTANT If burrowing owls become extinct then the animals that eat them might starve and they can become extinct too. Another reason why burrowing owls are important is that if burrowing owls become extinct there will be too many mice and other animals owls eat.

WERE YOU CAN FIND BURROWING OWLS IN CANADA You can find these owls at the southern side of Canada in a bit of Manitoba, and some of Alberta, Saskatchewan and in a tiny part of British Columbia. They live in prairies under the ground in burrows.
