called as “Altındağ Rehberlik ve Araştırma Merkezi (Altındağ RAM)” in Turkish.

Established in 1994 Open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Altındağ region is mostly populated by the disadvantaged families in terms of economical criteria. The region has the highest number of disabled people compared to other districts of Ankara.

Guidance and Counseling Department “Head of the Department and psychological counsellors” Duties: deals with students’ school failure, exam anxiety, sibling jealousy, behavior disorders and etc. helps students cope with their unique problems. does the Guideline of Guidance and Counseling Facilities for all types of schools. organizes training or educational programs to the families or teachers. plans crisis intervention programs. conducts researches about different subject related with education and special education (bullying, school failure, absenteeism, drop out and etc)

Special Education Department “Head of the Department, special education teachers and guidance teachers/psychological counsellors” Duties: does the placement of individuals who are in need of special education to the appropriate schools and other educational organizations. measures the intellectual functioning of the students or individuals who need special education by a standardized intelligence test (Stanford-Binet, Wisc-R, Leiter etc) and developmental tests (Denver or GEÇDA) measures the educational performance of the students and individuals who need special education by other developed tests. gives support to the administrators, teachers and counselors of special education schools and mainstreaming education schools.
