Energy from lemons The first experiment of the romanian team

Roxana cut a lemon.

Andreea put a plate of copper and zinc in each lemon.

Two lemons prepared for the experiment.

We put together the two plates with wires.

We measure the voltage that provides a single blade. I got a lemon 1 volt. The current is very weak.

We measure the strength and we have 1mA..

Now we bind together the two lemons in series.

The tension increased.

Current is small.

We put in series and measure the intensity of 3 lemons.

It increased to 3 mA …

… and the current is 2.3 V.

We are trying to light a lamp.

We did it!

That was our experiment with lemons.

We made the experiment: Francisca, Andrei, Andreea and Roxana…

… and we made the journal: Cosmin, Adriana, Loredana, Alexandra and Luciana.
