Two years ago we … Sent a staggering 120 boxes around the world £300 went with the boxes to ensure they got to their destinations That’s 120 children who got something for Christmas who otherwise would have got nothing

We helped children like these …

This year, our boxes will be sent to countries like: Albania Romania Croatia Siria Czech Republic And …..

Ukraine

Other children the Rotary Club has helped……

The aim of The Rotary Club is to help as many people as possible in our country, and all around the world. Their motto is ‘Service above self’

What do you need to do now? 1. You do NOT have to find your own box – we have Rotary Club boxes. 2. As a form (or individual) you need to decide whether you would like to fill a box for a boy or a girl. 3. You need to start bringing items in to school. 4. Your Positive Change leader can be in charge of this project.

What to include (suggested items) Matchbox type cars, small bouncy balls, yo-yos, dolls, colouring books, crayons, felt-tip pens, pencils, notebooks, jigsaws, lego (PLEASE NO CHOCOLATE OR SWEETS – NO WAR RELATED TOYS OR TOYS THAT NEED BATTERIES) No food items at all please

No thanks: No Food especially chocolate. No medicine or vitamins of any kind. No war related items Toy guns, soldiers or knives of any kind. No clothing No fragile items Glass containers, mirrors. No liquids including blow bubbles, shampoo, bubble bath, toiletry sets or aerosols. No dangerous items Sharp objects, scissors or razors

Don’t forget! Each box must have £1.00 coin sellotaped to it to cover the cost of getting the box to the child

What can you do to help? Decorate the shoe box sides – stickers, colouring etc (please do not wrap it) Bring in gifts to fill the box Contribute towards the £1.00 donation

Deadline for bringing in boxes … Friday 8 th November
